Luminous Mysteries as a Profession of Faith

The Baptism of Jesus

Lord, I follow you into the waters and renew my baptismal vows. I reject Satan, all his works, and all his empty promises. I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the Body, and life everlasting. Amen”

The Wedding at Cana

Oh, Blessed Mother, Mary, there is much that is lacking in my life right now. I’m on the verge of running out of strength. But I believe the Lord can do all things. So I entrust these matters into Your Hands, knowing you will make my needs known to Your Son, who can refuse you nothing. I await His word and will do whatever He tells me. Amen.

The Proclamation of the Kingdom

Lord, I believe the Kingdom of God is now at hand. I believe the Father sent you to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free. I believe in your Gospel, in the Good News, and I repent of my failings and sins. I believe, Lord. I believe. Help my unbelief.

The Transfiguration

Lord, Jesus, I believe You are the fulfillment of the law and the prophecies. I believe You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. I believe You share in the glory of God the Father. I want to see You transfigured, Lord. So I am listening. Teach me how to become pleasing to the Father so that I may someday share in Your glory, too.

The Institution of the Eucharist

Lord, Jesus, I believe You are truly present (Body, blood, soul, and divinity) in the Blessed Sacrament. I believe You come to me on the altar in Holy Mass as a sign of love. I believe You dwell within me when I receive Holy Communion. Help me to become a worthy dwelling place for You. Show me the areas of my heart I need to clean up before you visit me again under my roof.
