By the merits of Jesus in the Agony of the Garden, I pray that I will have the strength to resist the devil’s temptations and firmly choose the will of God for my life.
The Scourging at the Pillar
By the merits of Jesus at the Scourging at the Pillar, I pray I have the strength to withstand that which strikes at my flesh so as to live more fully in the Spirit of Truth.
The Crowning with Thorns
By the merits of Jesus at the Crowning with Thorns, I pray for the strength to endure the errors and deceit that press upon my mind so as to always choose truth in God’s will.
The Carrying of the Cross
By the merits of Jesus at the Carrying of the Cross, I pray for the strength to carry the trials of my day and the grace to accept my crosses as part of God’s purifying will for me.
The Crucifixion: By the merits of Jesus at the Crucifixion, I pray for the strength to fully surrender my life to God’s hands (even in my darkest moments) so that, like Jesus, I may experience a glorious resurrection.
