Protection of Family

With the Belt of Truth

The belt is where Roman soldiers stored their weapon – without a belt, they could not keep their sword close at hand! This helps us understand what St. Paul meant when he referred to the “belt.” We know that the sword of a Christian is the Holy Spirit, so what is the “belt” that secures the Spirit of God to a Christian? It is truth. By living in truth, the “Spirit of Truth” fastens Himself to us. He stands ever ready to be our weapon and defend us. When we depart from truth, though, we essentially drop our belt, and with it, our sword.

“Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth,” (Ephesians 6:14)

So, what does it mean to live in truth? And what does this have to do with the protection of the family?

St. Paul tells us, “Your word is truth” (John 17:17)

The Word of God – the Holy Scriptures – spells out the truths by which we should live. It covers so much more than God’s will expressed in the Ten Commandments. And this is especially important when it comes to the family.

Family values regarding marriage, children, even sexual identity have been distorted by modern views and now gravely contradict the Word of God. Unfortunately, the families who have adopted or supported these modern views have dropped “the belt of truth” and are now left defenseless in the battle.

But the family who remains in the Word—reading it as a family, praying it as a family, living it as a family—will remain fastened to the Spirit of God and equipped for every battle.

Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32)

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18)

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.” (Romans 1:18)

The Belt of Truth

The Army of Truth

On November 12, 2017, God the Father reiterated the importance of truth when He appeared to Maureen Kyle and said to her, “I come to you today, to call to arms My Army of Truth, which is the Remnant Faithful. It is you who must carry on the Tradition of Faith in the battle to dismantle sound morals, marriage and family life…”

The Family Rosary

Parents: bind your children to every rosary that you pray!

The Rosary prayers and meditations are derived from the Word of God which, as we noted, is truth. This makes the family Rosary a powerful form of protection against the devil’s attacks—especially those attacks against truth. (Parents remember this for wayward children!)

In the Our Father prayer we pray the exact words that Jesus himself taught the disciples in the gospel of Matthew (6:9-13).

“Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. They kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” Here we pray for the coming of the kingdom on earth. We pray that God’s holy will be done on earth just as it is in Heaven. Then we petition God for the grace we need to accomplish this (daily bread and forgiveness).

The Hail Mary prayer also repeats scripture. First, we pray the words of the angel Gabriel at the annunciation. “Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with you.” (Luke 1:28)

St Louis de Montfort said the words in the salutation of Mary, "terrify devils and put them to shame."

The Hail Mary continues with the words of Elizabeth at the visitation. “Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb.” (Luke 1:42) After greeting Mary as the angel did, we enter into the visitation. The God-bearer then comes into our midst to do battle with us.

March 16, 1995, the Blessed Mother told Maureen Kyle, “Satan is trying to keep you from praying, because he knows the most powerful weapon is the Rosary, when it is prayed with love in your hearts. Do not let him discourage you or distract you. I am calling you to prayer, My dear children, so that we can be victorious over every evil.”

A few years later, the Virgin Mary appeared to Maureen during a Rosary prayer group. She looked at everyone in the room, smiled and gave Maureen a message for them. "Dear children, thank you for praying with Me tonight. I invite you to understand that the Rosary is your protection and your safeguard against harm. I come to invite you to pray often; for this Rosary, My dear children, is not only a weapon, but a refuge. Those who are devoted to My Rosary will not be overcome by misfortune." (September 8, 1998)

The Family Rosary
15 Promises for Those Devoted to the Rosary

Still not convinced of the power of the rosary? The Virgin Mary made fifteen promises to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche regarding those who pray the Rosary.

  1. To all those who shall recite my Rosary devoutly, I promise my special protection and very great graces.

  2. Those who shall persevere in the recitation of my Rosary shall receive some signal grace.

  3. The Rosary shall be a very powerful armor against hell; it will destroy vice, deliver from sin, and dispel heresy.

  4. The Rosary will make virtue and good works flourish and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies; it will substitute in hearts love of God for love of the world and will lift them to the desire of heavenly and eternal things. How many souls shall sanctify themselves by this means!

  5. Those who trust themselves to me through the Rosary, shall not perish.

  6. Those who shall recite my Rosary devoutly, meditating on its mysteries, shall not be overwhelmed by misfortune. The sinner shall be converted; the just shall grow in grace and become worthy of eternal life.

  7. Those truly devoted to my Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church.

  8. Those who recite my Rosary shall find during their life and at their death the light of God, the fullness of His graces, and shall share in the merits of the blessed.

  9. I shall deliver very promptly from purgatory the souls devoted to my Rosary.

  10. The true children of my Rosary shall enjoy great glory in heaven.

  11. What you ask through my Rosary, you shall obtain.

  12. Those who propagate my Rosary shall be aided by me in all their necessities.

  13. I have obtained from my Son that all the members of the Rosary Confraternity shall have for their brethren the saints of heaven during their life and at the hour of death.

  14. Those who recite my Rosary faithfully are all my beloved children, the brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ

  15. Devotion to my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

Family Consecration Prayers

To consecrate something means to set it apart for sacred use by God. Therefore, when a person or family consecrates themselves or their home, they too become set apart for God and enjoy His special protection. Below are two types of consecrations for families: Consecration of Marriages and Consecration of Families and Homes.

Consecration Prayers

Consecration of Marriages

To be said by both husband and wife together

On November 2, 1996, Jesus appeared to Maureen Kyle and said, “I am giving you this consecration of marriages to Our United Hearts because of these times. These last days before My triumphant return see Satan attacking all vocations -- but in particular the priesthood and marriages. Marriages consecrated to Our United Hearts will find the way made easier. Pray this prayer daily for Our Protection and Provision."

Marriage Consecration Prayer

Holy and Sacred United Hearts of Jesus and Mary, we consecrate our marriage to You today in this present moment. Through this consecration, we will dedicate our hearts to Your victory. United in You we seek Your protection and provision. Increase our love for You and for each other with every breath we take. Regally clothe our hearts in the Divine Will of the Eternal Father. Help us to increase in holiness in and through Your United Hearts. Amen.

"Propagate this consecration. It carries with it many graces. It will strengthen the soul of marriages gone stale. It will increase fervor in hearts. It will convert the unconverted who consents to pray it."

He leaves with a smile. The United Hearts are in the air.”

Consecration of Marriags

Consecration of Families and Homes

St. Thomas Aquinas appeared to American visionary, Maureen Kyle. St. Thomas bowed and prayed before the tabernacle. He then said: “Praise be to Jesus… You know the times are perilous. There is much speculation about the future. People live in fear, not trust. It is time for families to be consecrated to the United Hearts and to make a personal consecration to The Flame of Holy Love. This will be like the lamb’s blood on the portal of their hearts and homes. Evil will pass over them and by them.” (October 31, 2001)

Use the instructions below to do this Consecration.

SCRIPTURES

Read 2 Chronicles: Ch 7 v 16

[16] "For now I have chosen and consecrated this house so that My Name may be there forever; My Eyes and My Heart will be there for all time."

Read Exodus: Ch 12 v 7 & 13

[7] "Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat them."

[13] "The blood shall be a sign for you, upon the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague shall fall upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt."

CONSECRATION TO THE FLAME OF HOLY LOVE

Immaculate Heart of Mary, humbly, I ask that you take my heart into the Flame of Holy Love, that is the spiritual refuge of all mankind. Do not look upon my faults and failings but allow these iniquities to be burned away by this purifying Flame. Through Holy Love, help me to be sanctified in the present moment, and in so doing, give to you, dear Mother, my every thought, word, and action. Take me and use me according to your great pleasure. Allow me to be your instrument in the world, all for the greater glory of God towards your victorious reign. Amen.

DEDICATION OF HOMES TO MARY, REFUGE OF HOLY LOVE

Mary, my Mother, my Fortress—Refuge of Holy Love—sanctify this home through Holy Love. Open each heart that dwells herein to holiness. Lead us along the path of Holy Love. Be victorious over any evil, whether it be an unknown force within these walls, a seductive habit, or some voluntary attachment we have chosen ourselves. Make this home a sanctuary of Holy Love. Amen.

CONSECRATION OF FAMILIES TO THE UNITED HEARTS

Sacred and United Hearts of Jesus and Mary, You are one in purpose as You desire the salvation, holiness, and sanctity of each soul. We consecrate our family to You seeking Your victory both in our hearts and in the world. We acknowledge the perfection of Your mercy in the past, the abundance of Your provision in the future, and the supreme sovereignty of the Father’s Divine Will in this present moment. We desire to be part of Your triumphant reign beginning in this present moment through our ‘yes’ to Holy and Divine Love. We wish, with the help of Your grace, to live out this consecration through every future moment. Thus we will be united in triumph with You, dear United Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Amen.
