Rehydrate with Electrolytes

OMGosh! How about this heatwave?!?! Remember, guys: increased heat means increased sweating. And when we sweat a lot, our bodies can quickly lose water and electrolytes (i.e., “salts” such as sodium, chloride, potassium).

That’s a big deal because electrolytes regulate nerve and muscle function, balance blood acidity and pressure, help rebuild damaged tissue, all sorts of things. Therefore, even mild dehydration can be serious.

That’s why it’s important to make sure you drink enough water to prevent this. (It is recommended you drink half your body weight in ounces each day.) But regular tap water only contains trace amounts of electrolytes. So, sometimes it can be helpful to supplement with sports drinks.

BUT BE CAREFUL!

Some of the more popular store-bought sports drinks can contain almost 10 teaspoons of sugar in one bottle! Even the “low sugar” versions are less than ideal because the sweeteners they use cause severe gut health issues.

So, what’s my recommendation for staying hydrated? Consider Plexus Hydrate!! It is a brand-new product, just announced! Plexus Hydrate has electrolyte minerals PLUS aloe vera, tart cherry, coconut water powder, sea salt, watermelon juice, zinc, and vitamin C!! In fact, each serving has 190% of your daily vitamin C! Guys, that is more than 2 whole oranges!

Oh, and in case you’re wondering. It is sweetened with Stevia and has only 10 calories per serving. And yes, as always, it’s gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO with none of the funky artificial stuff (colors, flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives).

If you’re a Plexus ambassador already, log in to your account and make sure you get your order in! Plexus is doing a “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” promo right now! But it won’t last. The sale ends June 30, 2021! If you’re not a Plexus Ambassador, you can purchase Hydrate here. OR, SAVE BIG by joining Plexus now.
