Now Hiring

What if I told you there was a way to get your house paid off …and have everything you’ve ever needed or wanted? What if I told you my boss could make it happen for you? But you have to come work for us. You have to read the employee handbook (warning: it’s big and we do things a little different). And you have to learn the trade. Then you have to show up for work. And I mean really work. But… our benefits program has access to select, elite doctors, and the pay is out of this world. Like nothing you’ve ever seen.

Oh, and it is only for one day. For one day you’ll have to study and grind and give it your all. Also, you should know, there might be protesters outside when you show up to work. They might yell and call you names.

But it’s one day. One. Day. . . . . . Would you do it?? . . . . . Most of you are thinking, “Yes, of course I would do it.” . . . . . . . . So here’s the deal. My “boss” is the Lord of Lord and King of Kings — Jesus. To learn this “trade,” you’ll need to read His word (warning: it’s big and Jesus does things a little different). You’ll have to study and grind and give it your all. It won’t be easy. You’ll need to work for the kingdom… and I mean really work.

“Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)

It will be tough, but the pay is out of this world. Literally. Like nothing you’ve ever seen. Your pay is a royal inheritance.

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” (Matthew 25:34)

The house you inherit in this kingdom will not be a regular house but a mansion.

“In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?” (John 14:2)

And, friend, that mansion will be completely paid off — by His blood.

“In him we have redemption through his blood…according to the riches of his grace…” (Ephesians 1:7)

And yes, there might be protesters. They might yell and call you names.

But… “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matthew 5:11-12)

So there is no need to fear.

“The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom.” (2 Timothy 4:18)

Also, the benefits program has access to the one and only divine physician.

“For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord...” (Jeremiah 30:17)

“Your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” (Mark 5:34)

Oh yeah, and and all this can be yours if you work for just one day.

Yep. One day.

Well, comparatively speaking.

Compared to the eternity that you will spend in your heavenly mansion free of illness and pain with all of your needs met, your life on earth will seem like a mere day.

“With the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (2 Peter 3:8)

After a day’s work, then you can retire.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. And he who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’ …And he said to me, ‘It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.’” (Revelations 21:4-7)

So, now that you know who my boss is, and what the job is, and what the pay is….the question still stands, would you do it?
