Carb Blocker for Summer Picnics

Currently, I’m in the process of planning my daughter’s graduation party, and it has me thinking—about carbs.

I know, you probably weren’t expecting that. You were probably expecting me to say I’m thinking about how fast time goes by or how unbelievable it is that my baby is 18. And yes, I’m thinking about those things, too. 😉 But as I plan the party menu, I’m thinking about picnic foods like potato salad, pasta salad, cookies, and cake.

So, again, I’m thinking about carbs.

Some of you understand where I’m coming from. It can be difficult to get healthy or lose weight or balance blood sugar levels during the summer. You don’t want to be “that” person who shows up at picnics and never eats. But you also don’t want to be “that” person who’s grumpy and tired all the time from overindulging in carbs and sugar.

So, what do you do?
